Don't even ask why this hasn't been on the blog yet..like..DON'T EVEN...! I'm so sure I wrote a review of it but can't find it anywhere in the drafts. What is this sorcery?
I'm on my second tub of this gorgeous sugar scrub. Its from Lush and it's divine!
It's aptly named Bubblegum Lip Scrub "My Boy Lollipop"!! Whoever thought of that name....
Go ahead and call it overpriced..after all it's just Sugar with a bit of Jojoba oil and flavorings but be damn assured it works. If you're lazy to make one for yourself... go buy this!! (Here's my DIY Lip Scrub Recipe by the way!)
You just take some of this pink cotton candy sugar on your wet finger tip..rub it on your lips..30 seconds max..Feel the tingle.. and wash off with warm water. Done! Hello beautiful soft hydrated lips..ready to welcome some badass matte lipstick!
It smells so yummy ..you'd be tempted to lick it..so do that coz its safe to do so.
The smells sells it to me every time. It's irresistibly sweet cotton candy flavor. Lush also makes them in other flavors (Popcorn!!) but I just can't get over this one to even try others. I've only purchased it two times in last 3 years so you know lasts pretty long too.
Only cons that I can think of
- Its gritty. Don't scrub too hard. Over scrubbing might just do more harm than good. Remember there's always another day!
- Its expensive ($13 for this pottle)
- The glass tub can leak if not kept straight. It did when I traveled with it last year. So certainly not travel friendly.
In my matte lipstick application routine, lip scrub is a must. It takes off any dead skin (exfoliates!!), lipsticks goes on smooth, holds better and doesn't flake off ugly. If you suffer from dry flaky lips, give Lush Bubblegum lip scrub a shot.. You'll be left with soft moisturized lips in no time. Now that's a star product.
Are you a fan of lip scrubs? Have you used any from Lush before? Let me know in the comments below!
See you soon!
